I was thinking about where I came from when I met The Lord Jesus. Completely destitute and on the brink of disaster, He picked me up, turned me around and placed my feet on solid ground. “Hey, that’s a song!” But putting all kidding aside, that’s what happened.

All the years of ups and downs, mistakes and victories, happiness and sorrows, He’s been there for me. He’s never let me down.

I haven’t always understood His answers to my prayers, I don’t get His nature at times. He has the ability to change the whole universe and sometimes He allows what He hates to accomplish what He loves. His ways confuse me and I cry out in anguish a lot. But, He knew all this before I was born and still He came to earth, died, rose again and sent back His Holy Spirit so I would have the power to overcome my personal sins. He’s an awesome God.

All the gifts I have, the things I love: fashion, computers, designing, beauty, crafting, came from His hand. He thought enough of me to give me these things so that I could enjoy my life while I wait on His return. The people around me that love me, Jesus gave me them so I wouldn’t feel alone.

I know that whatever I need, whatever my heart is burdened over – if it’s food on the table, rent to be paid, socks to wear, a friend to comfort me, whatever it is…my God will provide and always does. I had to give Him the praise in this post. He deserves it all.
