Ever made a mountain out of a mole? I think we all have.
And for me, being an extremist, I often make more out of a situation than it really is. I have to really learn to trust Jesus and His infinite wisdom and not what my eyes focus on. Case in point: one day I was working on my computer when all of a sudden the screen went completely black! My first thought was that I had lost my document. I freaked out! I ran to my bag that I keep all my software discs in looking for the system recovery CDs cause I thought I would have to do a systems reboot and reformat my hard drive.
I’m going through the bag and I can’t seem to find the system recovery discs so now my heart turns to panic! I didn’t have a backup computer, what am I going to do?! Finally, I stopped and prayed! Finally!
I heard The Lord answered me right away saying, “check the plug“. I did and found that it was a little loose from the outlet! All I had to do was plug it back in and voila, I was back in business. But look at how complicated I made the situation.
And I do this a lot, you’d think I would have learned by now right? But we take a long time as humans to learn God’s way of doing things. It’s an everyday adventure, but the good news is as the more we learn His way and submit to it, the less likely we will let our flesh rise up instead of our spirit!
