In the battlefield, it’s difficult to think of anything else except where the enemy is. Soldiers have to be prepared at all times and protect themselves and their fellow comrades. The spiritual battle is just about the same thing except the enemy is messing with our minds.
It’s those bad thoughts, fears of the unknown, past hurts and constant frustrations that God’s taking too long to come through that we’re fighting day after day. It’s hard to concentrate on anything else when we have to constantly battle this mental war.
How do we fight and win? We thank God. Yes, because in all things He is still a Good God all the time. He didn’t save us and then leave us with no instructions on how to live in this world. He gave us His precious Word. In it, are all kinds of promises He made to us before He left. He knew what we’d face, He knew the trials that were to come our way and He promised He’d be with us through them all. We can trust Him because He’s incapable of lying. The answer to winning the battles is to remain thankful to Him and tell Him that.
Thank you Lord for this day, Thank you Lord you woke me up, Thank you Lord I can eat good food, Thank you Lord for clean water, Thank you Lord for the friends and family I have that love me, Thank you Lord I have you in my life. I’m sure you can add to this list but these are the things we should say everyday and especially every time the enemy tries to attack us.
All good things come from The Lord. He will come through and never let us down. He truly loves us. Keep telling yourself this, “Jesus loves me,” when you’re in the middle of a battle. You do that more often and it’ll become easier to resist those ugly thoughts the enemy throws your way.
