Experts say breakfast is the most important meal of the day to get the morning off to the best start.
For me, starting the morning off in prayer is the most important thing I can do to get my day off right.
I’ve noticed that if I get up and begin the day answering emails, getting caught up in social media posts, texts, etc., and I don’t take time out for God, my day never seems to go as smoothly as I want.
There’s something about morning prayer that helps grace me to handle unexpected situations, keeps me calm as I’m dealing with deadlines and/or interruptions and makes the day go faster.
Even if I only have a few minutes depending on what I got going on that day, just the little time I have with Jesus makes a huge difference. It changes my mood as well cause there are times when I’m struggling just to get out of bed.
My morning routine has changed over the years but having a few moments with God in the morning hasn’t. When I forget, I still try to stop and have at least five minutes with Him before I really get going.
I’ve been known to skip breakfast on many occasions but if I skip morning prayer, the day just never goes right.
