Stamped for Approval

Stamped for Approval

Reading Time: < 1 minute

When I worked a corporate job, many times we worked on documents that needed to be approved by several people within the department. Before the days of Sharepoint and Google DRIVE, we used Manila folders containing the document to be edited and on the outside of the folder was stamped with wording like “needs approval“.

Everyone involved with the project would note their changes on the document, put it back in the folder and pass it to next person for their edits. Once all the edits were documented, the secretary would revise the document on the computer and print a new version. It eventually went to the head of the department for final review and once he approved it, then that document became the law of the land.

You and I are much like the drafts going back and forth for edits and we are not yet stamped for approval until our Father knows we are ready to go into the field to represent Him. Until then, he is molding and changing us OR “revising” us until we are “approved”! And just like that document that eventually becomes the law of the land, we become fit for The Lord’s service.
