Waterfalls are just beautiful and majestic, when I look at them, I can see the water falling but even more than that…how God created them. He is such the Artist. And, everything we’ve learned, all the talents we possess, all the knowledge we’ve attained is because of God.
Hubby and I have traveled around Oregon and watched many waterfalls. I loved going to Oregon gorge where there were nine waterfalls close together and I just couldn’t help getting lost in the beauty that was all around me.
To me, it is harder to believe there isn’t a God then it is to believe He exists. How do you explain the things we can’t see nor control? How do we explain that our knowledge, as vast as it is, can only go so far? What do we do when the doctors say?, “there’s nothing more we can do.” When the law doesn’t give justice because all the evidence is not found…how do we go on? How can we forgive wrongdoing when it’s not our fault? None of these questions can be answered in the natural sense. They go way beyond our humanism. It takes someone much more powerful and wise that can do what we can’t.
And this is the same God that made the waters of oceans and seas, the beauty of trees that grow tall and large, the land where we walk, the sea animals and the land animals. This same God who hears my prayers in Oregon, hears your prayers wherever you are, and hears prayers in Asia, Africa, Europe, Australia, and all over the world.
This is the God that understands all you feel and knows every hair upon your head. This God is the one who loves you and wants to be in your life to help you make it past the wickedness in the world.
This is The God who gave up His son so we would have a way to one day live with Him forever. This Jesus who hates what sin has done to the world, gives you and I free will to make our own choices. Because like you and me, He wants us to choose to love Him on our own and not come to Him by force.
Yes, Lord, more and more everyday I’m falling for You.
