When I wrote, “What Kind of Legacy are you Leaving Behind?”, I was thinking of my own life and what I’ve done with it.
I’ve been thinking about how I want to be remembered. Have I done enough to help other people? Has my walk inspired anyone? Am I a good roll model?
It’s hard today to find that certain someone who we can look up to. We all have our flaws and faults. I don’t want to hide my weaknesses but I also don’t want to embrace them. I want to improve upon my character.
The only way to leave a good legacy is to allow Jesus to live through me before other people. I’m not perfect, but He is and allowing Him to govern me makes it easier for others to see Him through me.
I often have these philosophical conversations with myself because I’m always thinking, sometimes too much!
I’m striving to do better: to make a difference in my little world, to fulfill God’s call for my life and to use the gifts He’s given to me and to make more than a few people smile.
The bottom line is I want to leave something good behind that my friends and family would have as long lasting memories.
