Sometimes it feels like I’ve lived a lifetime in such a short period of time. When I look back over all that I’ve gone through, I know there was a God always there watching me and keeping me from imminent danger. So many times I should have died and He saved my life. So many times, I got into serious trouble, but He delivered me out. And, not to mention the times when I felt like I was going out of my mind, it was prayers that kept me going.
I would have loved taking a year off to travel around the world and see different places, people and buildings when I was younger, but that didn’t happen. No worries, some things aren’t meant to be but I can certainly travel around the world through my life’s experiences, thoughts and dreams.
For example, I know what it’s like to be in a place that I’m content with what I have and another where I wasn’t. You’ve probably have seen many pictures of people living in countries with little to no healthy food. I’ve experienced famine and I know what it feels like to not be able to afford to eat. I traveled to the place where everything was plentiful too. We had more than enough money to spend so I know what it’s like to not want for much. And, maybe God wanted me to get a touch of each situation so I would know that no matter what state I’m in, I always need Him.
When I’m struggling, I reach out to Him to help me out. When things are going great, I thank and praise Him + 1 thing extra. I keep in my mind that all I have comes from Him and not to take these things for granted. Humility keeps us in our rightful place. Life changes every second. And, the world changes every second too.
