Sometimes the encourager needs some encouragement. Growing Up in Grace has always been my place to write devotionals to help others and also share my own faith experiences. So, I hadn’t thought to use it as a healing tool for myself. But, I have to change that cause as of right now I must focus more on my own healing.
I’ll still write devotionals as I feel led but I will also be changing up what I post. Part of my recovery is to create an atmosphere of things that make me happy and that includes: my actual workspace, living area, the people I want close to me and also my projects. I’ve done a fair share of getting rid of stuff that I don’t need or that no longer has a purpose. This helps me keep the stress level controllable.
Today, I’m starting a series of Pinterest pins that I like and want to share. You might find something in these posts that inspires you, I hope so. This post is favorite pins from my “Inspiring Workspaces” board.
I like the clean look of white in this office space and love faux fur rugs. I also like the desk. A couple of years ago, I changed the look of my craftroom so I could incorporate neutral colors which is my favorite. Because I spend a lot of time in my space as I craft there and work, I needed it to be an extension of what I like. It’s important when you work from home, that you create your own “happy space” with colors, furniture pieces that you like.
The touch of pinks in this room stood out to me as pink is my favorite color. But, the shade of it is not too bright, I like the more muted color. To me, it’s just a little accent of color that brings the space together. I love those shelves too, a nice way to organize books or to showcase important items.
Denise is one of the ladies I follow on YT, her taste is over the top and I love it! Her office space is by far my absolute favorite. I’m not sure I could work in it if it were mine, I’d be too busy staring at its beauty. There’s nothing about her space I don’t like.
The round desk in this office space just screams to me! I’d love to have it and the chandelier is also a favorite. Adequate lighting is essential in a space you work in but also if you film videos or take photos. I like how the room is situated near the window for natural lighting.
I always think it’s important to have a sofa in a home office. There needs to be an area to rest. My space is just large enough for a recliner but hopefully one day when I get the craftroom of my dreams, I want a full fledged sofa with a bunch of soft pillows and a cozy blanket too!
